Citizen's forest is a system that preserves Yokohama City's unique green space, which started in 1971, protects and nurtures greenery, and uses it as a place for citizens to relax with the cooperation of forest owners. is.
As of April 1, 2024, 47 locations (approximately 556ha) have been designated.

Designation criteria and contract method
Designate an area that can be used safely as a place for citizens to stroll and relax on land of approximately 2ha or more, mainly covered with forests. In addition, farmland that is integrated with the forest land may be specified. After submitting the "Citizen's Forest Designation Application (Consent) Form" from the landowner, please conclude a citizen's Forest Contract for more than 10 years between the landowner and the mayor for those that conform to the standards.
Incentives to Contractors

Usage/Management Form
