Akuwa River

The Akuwa River originatesSeya Ward, Izumi Ward and Totsuka Ward, with a length of 5.44 km. It flows from the headwaters in parallel with the prefectural road Seya Kashio Line, joins Hirato Nagatanikawa in Kamiyabe-cho, Totsuka-ku to become the Kashio River, merges with Sakaigawa near Fujisawa Station, and flows to Enoshima.
Renovation work began in 1971 through the Urban Ogawa River Rehabilitation Project (currently Urban Infrastructure River Rehabilitation Project), and plans to develop from the junction with Hirato Nagatanikawa to Murashita Bridge (Seya Ward) near the Tokaido Shinkansen elevated.
In addition, about 1.5 km between Fudo Bridge (Okazu-cho, Izumi-ku) and Doyama Bridge (Shimbashi-cho, Izumi-ku), which is almost in the middle of the renovation section, is being carried out according to the Akuwa River Mahoroba River Improvement Plan. In the section of Shingu Maebashi (Izumi-ku Oka-cho), which is the most downstream of the section, is used as an environmental walkway and Aquari-cho, which can be used as an environmental walkway, which can be used as a walkway for Shingu Maebashi-cho, which can be used as an environmental walkway, which is managed as ais maintained.
