Last update date February 3, 2022
Activity record (FY2020)
3rd: March 19, 2021
Field survey
・Together with the staff of the Yokohama Institute of Environmental Science, I actually got off to Miyakawa and conducted a survey.
・While conducting surveys on water quality and creatures, we also picked up trash.
・Various creatures, from fish to birds, such as mullets, kusafugu, oysters, and kingfishers, inhabited.
・When I was conducting a survey, "What are you doing in the river?", "Is you cleaning the river?"
And local people were observing Miyakawa from the sidewalk. Miyakawa is friendly to the local community.
I realized that it was an existence.
・Next time, based on the results of the field survey, we will discuss how we will work in the future.
I'll go.
2nd: January 29, 2021
Online Meetings
・Due to the impact of the new coronavirus, it will be held online.
・We have set the axis of the project's efforts to improve the sediment quality of rivers.
・In addition to implementing countermeasures, "What is the problem now and what is being done in front of me?
Is it connected? "Is it connected?" so that people in the area passing through Miyakawa can understand.
We have decided to consider a mechanism of public relations methods so that we can learn about Miyakawa.
・As an extension, we shared a vision of the future in which initiatives will be promoted through citizen science and collaboration.
・In the future, as a concrete action, we will conduct a survey of the bottom quality and conduct scientific analysis.
1st: November 25, 2020
Site reconnaissance
・We conducted on-site confirmation of areas where we would like to improve the bottom quality.
・One of the goals of the project was how to expand it as a local issue, rather than just purifying rivers.
・The importance of cooperation with other fields, such as disaster prevention and environmental education, was also highlighted.
