Yokohama-shi Environmental Management System

Yokohama City Hall has established a policy on environmental action that employees should take in their daily office work and operates an environmental management system.

Yokohama is a city that is blessed with natural environment such as water and greenery. It is our duty to protect, nurture, create, and pass it on to the next generation of children.

Based on various environmental plans, in collaboration with citizens and companies, Yokohama City Hall is implementing various environmental measures, including global warming countermeasures, waste reduction, and green conservation. Yokohama City Hall, on the other hand, is also a company that places a burden on the environment, and it is necessary to take the initiative in environmental activities.

Therefore, in order for each and every employee to have a high awareness of environmental issues in their daily work and implement environmentally conscious actions, we will work to reduce the environmental impact, focusing on the following priority initiatives.

2 We carry out training so that staff understands and practice environmentally conscious actions.
