Efforts for Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration

As road infrastructure such as bridges and tunnels is rapidly aging, it is necessary to take measures to actively incorporate various viewpoints and new technologies in order to maintain and maintain with limited financial resources.
To this end, City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau has concluded an agreement with the Yokohama Construction Industry Association, the Yokohama City Construction Consultant Association and the Yokohama National University Graduate School of Urban Innovation, to cooperate in sharing the latest information on conservation renewal technology and research and dissemination of new conservation renewal technologyconservation renewal technology.

I have signed the agreement.

It was confirmed that the four parties will work together to address the aging crisis of road infrastructure.

On December 22, 2014, City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau concluded a cooperative agreement with the Graduate School of Urban Innovation, Yokohama National University, on "Technology for Renewal of conservation in Road Bridges and Tunnels" to discuss and share information on technologies such as maintenance, repair and renewal of road bridges and tunnels.

Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony (December 22, 2014)

A cooperative cooperation agreement ceremony was held in City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau on December 22, 2014!

  • Purpose of Cooperation

Since the collapse of the ceiling plate of the Sasago Tunnel on the Chuo Expressway, awareness of aging infrastructure has been increasing.
Yokohama National University Graduate School of Urban Innovation and City of Yokohama, Road and Highway Bureau have signed a cooperative agreement on technology for renewing conservation for road bridges and tunnels.
This agreement emphasizes the importance of sharing information, technology, experience, etc. possessed by each other, promoting cooperation including human resource development, and preventing damage to third parties.
The purpose is to firmly protect the safety and security of citizens.
