Types of bridges managed by the Bridge Division

There are many rivers in Yokohama, including the Tsurumi River, a first-class river, Katabira River, Okagawa and Sakaigawa River. In addition, there are many roads that intersect with expressways and railways, and many bridges are built in the city.

Of these, 1,709 road bridges managed by the Bridge Division are currently 1,709 bridges, making it an important urban infrastructure that supports citizens' lives and economic activities.

If the bridge of the road bridge is divided by structural members, a steel bridge made of iron, a concrete bridge made of reinforced concrete, a mixed bridge that is a complex of steel bridge and a concrete bridge, and a wooden bridge. It can be divided into "wood bridge" made and stone "stone bridge".

Steel bridge

Of the road bridges in the city, 649 bridges are made of steel.
There are various types of bridges, such as simple girder bridges, arched bridges, and truss bridges.

Concrete bridge

The most road bridges in the city are concrete bridges, with 1,024 bridges.
There are also bridges with distinctive shapes, such as making piers and girder together.

Of the road bridges in the city, 33 bridges are mixed bridges of concrete bridges and steel bridges.
It is a characteristic bridge that can be seen on a bridge with a long bridge length (bridge length)

Minamoto no Nino Bridge

Ishibashi

There is only one bridge in the city.
