Overview
In the Nakayama-cho district of Midori-ku, many cars pass through the target section (in zone 30 area and school road) avoiding the surrounding arterial roads, and pedestrians were difficult to cross at the pedestrian crossing. . In addition, the analysis results of ETC2.0 big data also confirmed that the speed was exceeded, and it was dangerous for commuters, commuting to school and local residents, and it was necessary to take immediate action.
In response to local issues, we established a "Traffic Safety Measures Council" consisting of local residents and elementary schools, police, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Yokohama City, etc., was established in 2018, and decided to proceed with the study of safety measures.
