Tsurumikko picture book open space

Tsurumi Library provides a fun time to read children's songs and picture books for babies and parents who are attending 4-month-old children's medical examinations and 1-year-old and 6-month-old children at Tsurumi Health and Welfare Center.

This project started in 1999, but since 2002, with the cooperation of citizens who named "cooperation staff", we have been providing child-rearing support using children's songs and picture books.

If you hear a fun voice in one corner of the Health and Welfare Center floor, it will be heard from Tsurumikko Picture Book Square!

Let's introduce one day's Tsurumikko picture book open space (4-month-old child medical examination performed on Tuesday).
When we gave the beginning on the floor, mothers and dads with babies gathered.

Everyone takes off their shoes and sits on the mat.

While touching the baby's face gently, touch the eyes and eyes, the baby and the guardian share a good time.
By singing with the cooperating staff, you can remember the children's songs right away.

Children's songs can be enjoyed by a wide range of ages, but especially infancy, their fun rhythms and repetitions resonate well with the children's hearts, experience the fun of words, and deepens the bond between parents and children by enjoying together.

After enjoying the children's songs, the next step is to read a picture book.

The first book is "Fruit".
Watermelon grape mandarin orange bananas drawn exactly as if it were there.
The four-month-old baby stares at the picture book while listening to the reader's voice.
The baby seems to be well aware that he is doing something to him.
Picture books with selected sentences and beautiful patterns reach the baby directly.

In addition to "Fruits", we also introduce "Jaabibiribiri" and "A lot of cats"

Picture books are read out by adults around the child.
The loving voice of a familiar person conveys a warm feeling to the child.
It's okay for a short time of the day.

Picture books will take a relaxing time for adults.

The picture books and children's songs introduced here are listed in the "Picture Books to Enjoy Your Claps" published by the Yokohama City Library, which is distributed by public health nurses during medical examinations.

Tsurumikko picture book open space is also held at the time of 1 year and 6 months old child medical examination held on Friday.

Sing children's songs in words that are kind to the children whose ego has come out, read picture books, and share a lot of fun with parents and children.

If you want to enjoy a picture book with your baby, please go to the Tsurumi Library's "First Picture Book Corner". This is a corner with picture books that are perfect for the first time reading, centering on picture books introduced at Tsurumikko Picture Book Plaza.

You can make a library card from the age of 0, so please use many picture books at the library.

Currently, about 30 cooperating staff members are reading children's songs and picture books at 4-month-old children's medical examinations and 1-year-old and 6-month-old children. In cooperation with the Tsurumi Library librarian and a public health nurse in Health and Welfare Center, we hope for the healthy growth of the babies born in Tsurumi, and to support the fun and rich child care.

Training courses are held every year to train collaborating staff.
In this course, public health nurses and librarians will ask you about the role of Health and Welfare Center and the practice of children's songs. After repeated visits, we start activity as a member of "cooperation staff" on Tuesday of 4-month-old child medical examination and Friday of 1-year-old 6-month-old child medical examination.

In addition, we hold regular staff regular meetings and annual skill improvement courses for cooperating staff.
By doing so, we are working to improve the level of staff and provide more fulfilling activities.
He also plays an active part in the "Picture Book and Children's Song Storytelling Party" at the library.
There are many staff members who hold talks in the area, and together with the library and the Health and Welfare Center, they are powerful assistants who support child care in the city.
