Please bring something that can be confirmed by Address (license, health insurance card, my number card, student ID card, etc.).
It can be created by the family member requested by the applicant, but we will confirm that the request has been received. You will also need something that can confirm your name and Address.
To prevent unauthorized use, first contact your library by telephone or visit us.
If you are transferred out of the city, if your workplace or school is not in Yokohama, you will lose your eligibility, so please return your library card.
If you are moving in the city, please bring your new Address and your card to the library. You can submit a change notification and use the card as it is.
From January 2005, the expiration date of the card has been set to 5 years.
If you are not sure if it has expired, please contact the library.
You can record your lending history by logging in on the online catalog page of Yokohama City Library and setting user information from the My Library menu. Please note that it can only be viewed by the logged-in individual, and lending history cannot be provided at the counter or telephone.
Please consult with the library you borrowed. As a general rule, you will be required to pay for the same book. If you are a minor, you will be responsible for compensation.
Some books don't hit in online catalog because they have just been published or aren't in City Library. Please contact us at the counter or telephone.
From Chuo-toshokan, the mobile library "Hamakaze-go" offers private lending to areas far from the library. The library card is the same as Yokohama City Library. For the first time, we will issue a library card on the spot. Books borrowed from the mobile library can be returned to the Yokohama City Library. Books borrowed from Yokohama City Library can also be returned to the mobile library. For more information, please visit the City Library website and the mobile library.
You can also use an e-book service that allows you to enjoy reading without visiting the library.
If the following person's reservation is not made in the borrowed material, you can extend the loan only once by the Internet or by telephone. The period that can be postponed is 14 days from the procedure date, but if the return deadline has passed, the number of days exceeding the deadline and the number of days postponed will be smaller. If more than 14 days have passed, please visit the museum once and return it at the counter. If you do not have the next reservation, we will re-lent it on the spot.
There is a post for return on the left side of the entrance to the Kanagawa Library. Available 24 hours a day, except during the year-end and New Year holidays.
If you're in Yokohama City Library, you can return either one.
It's a book published. Unreleased materials cannot be reserved.
Even if magazines are on sale, reservations cannot be made until the start date and time of reservation acceptance. For more information, please contact the library.
You can specify the order in which books are received by using the function of "order designation reservation" from the Yokohama City Library online catalog page or the user search machine in the building. You can also use it at the counter or telephone.
