The Kanagawa Library will focus on supporting your immediate research.

Tuesday to Friday: From 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, National Holidays (closed): From 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
December 28: From 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
January 4: From noon to five p.m.

There are eight newspapers: Asahi, Nihon Keizai, Mainichi, Yomiuri, Kanagawa, Sankei, Daily Sports, and JapanTimes. Back numbers are kept by Kanagawa Shimbun-sha for two years and two months, and other newspapers are kept for one year and two months. Items up to two months ago are in the library, so please contact the counter. The reduced edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun have been kept until the latest issue since April 1980 (Showa 55). (There is a missing volume on the way.)

There are phone numbers by occupation in Kanagawa, Tokyo, and Saitama prefectures. There are Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Yamanashi, Nagano, Niigata, and Gifu in the library. Please contact the counter when using. The paper version of the telephone directory "Hello Page" by personal name has ended with the final version issued between October 2021 and February 2023.

General seats (28 seats)
It can be used by high school students and above. You can use the empty seats freely.
All seats can be brought in, and there are 4 seats with power supply.
Children's seats (12 seats)
It is available to junior high school students at the seats in the children's book corner. You can use the empty seats freely.
Internet browsing seats (2 seats)
This seat is equipped with a personal computer that allows you to view the Internet. Various online databases are available.
Use is increments of 30 minutes at a time, and if there is no one waiting next, you can use it up to 2 hours.
If you would like to use it, please contact the counter.

We have a coin-operated copy machine.
Printing in black and white is 10 yen per sheet. Printing in color is 50 yen for B5, B4, A4 size and 80 yen for A3 size.

This is the Kanagawa Library mascot character "Otohime Kana".
It was born after the legend of Urashima.
