<Commemorative Project>
A panel discussion commemorating the 90th anniversary of Yokohama City Library was held.
On Saturday, June 11, 2011 and Saturday, October 1, 2011, we held a panel discussion to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Yokohama City Library's founding.
■As panelists on Saturday, June 11, 2011, Yoko Yamazaki, Mitsumasa Kobayashi, who won the 2009 Yokohama Cultural Prize, Fumika Okubo, Vice President of Yokohama Street Performing Arts, Vice Chairman of NPO Yokohama City Guide Association Masako Shimada was welcomed. There were 72 participants on the day of the event.
■On Saturday, October 1, 2011, post-war photos and episodes that could not be handled in June were featured as "Postwar Edition". Panelists include Mitsumasa Kobayashi, who won the 2009 Yokohama Culture Award, Fumika Okubo, Vice President of Yokohama Street Performing Arts, Tomoharu Fujisawa, who runs a restaurant in the Noge area, and Naomi Mori, a photographer in Yokohama. . There were 81 participants on the day of the event.

In this panel discussion, based on episodes related to Yokohama recruited from citizens in advance, we talked about memories with participants. Not only the panelists, but also the participants were able to hear a lot of memories they actually experienced and heard stories, and everyone was able to think about the old state of Yokohama in the past. Many of the participants said, "I'm glad that people who came to the venue could also participate" and "I'm glad I could actually hear the story from the experienced people."

"Let's play with parents and children! ~ Old Play in Mayor's Residence-"
Held in Mayor's Residence on Sunday, August 7, 2011 and Sunday, August 28, 2011. 53 parents and children who participated in old play classes such as kendama and begoma and demonstrations of picture-story shows enjoyed.
