So-called hate speech

In recent years, discriminatory behavior that incites exclusion of people of specific ethnicities and nationalities has become a social issue as so-called hate speech, and in December 2014 (2014), discrimination based on race and nationality The Supreme Court has determined the ruling that acknowledged the illegality of hate speech. Under these circumstances, the "Hate Speech Elimination Law" was enacted in June 2016, and efforts were made to eliminate it in order to aim for a society without unfair discriminatory behavior against people or descendants from outside Japan. It has been decided to promote it. Efforts are being made based on the principles of the law, but hate speech is still being held in various places. In addition, in connection with the spread of the new coronavirus infection, slander and discrimination against people with foreign roots have occurred.
Hate speech, an unjust discriminatory behavior, is a serious violation of human rights and must not be. In cooperation with related organizations, we will respond politely and accurately to each case, and take every opportunity to send out a stance that "discrimination will never be forgiven."
