Consultation at the Citizen Consultation Room

Reservations will be accepted by telephone and at the Citizen Consultation Office from 8:45 on the same day one week ago.
Night legal counseling will be accepted from the first day of the consultation month.
Reservations for both consultations will be accepted from the following weekday onwards on closed days such as weekends and holidays.
Reception hours is open between 8:45 and 17:15 on weekdays. (Reception of the window is until 17:00.)

Guidance for specialized consultation

For Yokohama citizens (working or attending school are not allowed), we provide consultation by professional counselors such as lawyers and judicial scriveners, and consultation on municipal administration by city officials.
Consultations by professional counselors are for each expert to provide general explanations according to the content of your consultation and to be used as a reference when solving problems. You can get advice from experts on future measures, such as how to deal with and process problems, and whether to ask an expert for a solution. Please be assured that the details of the consultation will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed at all.

●We do not create contracts, answers, wills, and other documents, and check the contents. Please explain what you would like to talk verbally.
●It is not possible to ask the professional counselor in charge to solve the problem directly or ask for specific work.
●Consultation may be refused depending on the content, such as when it violates the rules of attorney's duties or the provisions of judicial scrivener ethics.
●If the duties, duties, etc. of each specialized counselor are stipulated by law, consultation will be within that range.
(Lawyers and judicial scriveners do not know about taxes such as inheritance tax and gift tax. Please contact your tax accountant or tax office for tax consultation. Tax accountants are not available in the Citizen Consultation Room. )
●Depending on the matter of consultation, we may guide you to the responsible department rather than specialized consultation.
●We will not be able to respond to inquiries at a later date, such as the details of the consultation.
●If unauthorized use is found, the reservation for consultation will be cancelled.

●Those who need sign language interpreters…After making a reservation at the Citizen Consultation Room, please request an interpreter at Yokohama Rapport (outside site).
●Those who need foreign language interpreters…Please apply by phone to Yokohama International Association (YOKE) (outside site) (Phone: 045-222-1209).
