Yokohama City hopes that the North Korean authorities will resolve the abduction issue, and is making efforts to keep the abduction issue from weathering. In addition, based on the "Act on Abduction Issues and Other Human Rights Violations by North Korean Authorities" enacted in June 2006, we will continue to work with the government to raise public opinion on the abduction issue while cooperating with the government.
