Outline of the System
"When we meet certain requirements such as making continuation of the business or maintenance of life difficult by paying city tax at one time, within six months from deadline of payment of the city tax, By applying to the ward office Tax Division (*), you may be allowed to postpone the exchange for a period of one year or less.
However, in addition to the city tax to be applied, it will not be accepted if there is a city tax that has already been delinquent.
（※） The application for special collection duty person located outside the city is the Finance Bureau Tax Payment Management Division.
In addition to "Grace of exchange by application", there is "Grace of exchange based on authority of Director General (or mayor)".
When a grace is granted…
- The exchange (sale) of the property that has already been seized will be deferred.
- New seizure may be postponed (or seizure may be canceled) for property that may make it difficult to maintain business or maintain life due to seizure.
- Some of the arrears during the period in which the exchange is deferred is granted.
Deadline for application
Within six months from the due date of the city tax to be deferred
Application procedure
Please submit application and attached documents to ward office Tax Division (*).
