Voluntary insured persons

The following people can voluntarily subscribe to National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin).

1. Those who live in Japan and are between 60 and 65 years old
   (Those who wish to close the full amount of pension or those who do not meet the pension eligibility period)
2. Old age (Retirement) pensioners under 60
3. Japanese nationals residing overseas: 20 to 65

4. If you enroll until the age of 65 but still do not have enough time to receive pension, you can extend your subscription period until you reach the age of 70.
   (Only for those born before April 1, 1965)

Please ask the ward office National Pension Plan Section if you wish to join for reasons such as "I would like to pay National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) insurance premiums that were in the past unpaid periodpension."
If you have a Address in Japan and are over 60 years old, you will be required to pay insurance premiums. At the time of voluntary enrollment procedures, please bring your bank account and bank account registration stamp along with the documents that can clarify your My Number Card or the basic pension number.
