Payment of transfer expenses

If the patient is difficult to move and, in view of the patient's symptoms, it is deemed necessary by the National Health Insurance to conduct sufficient medical treatment at the facilities of the medical institution and is urgently transferred to the hospital according to the instructions of a doctor. If you do, you will be paid for the transfer. (This does not apply if used to go to the hospital.)
Cases in which transportation costs are paid
- When an injured patient is urgently transferred from a disaster site to a medical institution.
- Necessary medical care is not possible or extremely difficult at a medical facility near the place where the illness occurred, and the necessary medical care is not possible or extremely difficult at a medical facility near the place where the injury or illness occurred. - Patients who are difficult to move, and due to the patient's symptoms, cannot provide sufficient medical treatment at the facilities of the medical institution and are urgently transferred to the hospital at the direction of a doctor.
Expenses to be paid

- Expenses required to be accompanied by a doctor or nurse (in principle, up to one person)
The amount paid is the amount calculated by the most economical normal route and method based on the cost transferred (or actual cost if the amount exceeds the actual cost). If it is within the standard, the insured will be paid in full as transportation expenses. If the patient pays the expenses required for medical management by the attending physician or nurse, it will be paid as medical expenses.

※Please note that two years after paying the cost, the statute of limitations will expire and you will not be able to apply.
What is required for application
- Insurance card
- A copy of the bank's bank account or account number
- Letter of opinion of doctor who needs transfer
- Receipt of transfer costs (transfer sections and distances)
※private seal (the name of the householder who uses vermilion) is required to transfer to an account other than the head of household.
