When a member of the National Health Insurance dies, funeral expenses are paid to those who performed the funeral.
Amount paid: 50,000 yen
<Applicant>
Person who performed the funeral when a member of the National Health Insurance dies
<Required for application>
- Identification documents for the applicant
- Documents that can be confirmed by the mourner (such as receipts and invoices or funeral services)
- A copy of the bank's bank account or bank account number

Ward office Insurance and Pension Division in the ward where the deceased lived
※Please note that the applicant will not be the Insurance and Pension Division of the ward where you live, but to the ward office Insurance and Pension Division of the ward where the deceased lived.
※If you have it, please bring your deceased insurance card at the time of application.
※Please note that two years after the funeral is held, the statute of limitations will expire and you will not be able to apply.
※If you fall under 1, 2, or 3 below, you will be paid a burial fee from the previously enrolled employee health insurance, even if you enrolled in National Health Insurance at the time of death. For more information, please contact the employee health insurance you have previously joined.
- When paid by the previously subscribed employee health insurance
- If you had previously enrolled in employee health insurance within three months prior to death.
- Received ongoing benefits from employee health insurance at the time of death or within three months prior to death.
- Subsequent birth benefits from previously enrolled employee health insurance at the time of death or within three months prior to death
