What is the National Health Insurance?
Last Updated January 23, 2019
It is a system of mutual help.
We all want to live well. But I don't know when I get sick or injured. In such a case, you must have some kind of medical insurance so that you can receive treatment with peace of mind.
National Health Insurance is a system in which all members share money and help each other in case something goes wrong.
What is the National Health Insurance?
There are two types of medical insurance systems: employee health insurance, which enrolls through the workplace, a medical system for seniors aged 75 and over, and a national health insurance, in which other people subscribe.
National Health Insurance (National Health Insurance) is made on a regional basis, and is operated jointly by municipalities and prefectures.
All persons except those who are enrolled in the employee health insurance workplace (and those who are receiving welfare) are required by law to take out National Health Insurance.
medical expenses is supported by insurance premiums.
Members of the National Health Insurance have the "right" to receive medical treatment by insurance, but also have the "duty" to pay insurance premiums.
