Social Childcare Promotion Plan in Yokohama City
In response to the revision of the Child Welfare Law in fiscal 2016, the government issued a “New Social Child Care Vision” in August 2017 and a “Prefectural Social Child Care Promotion Plan” in July 2018 by the Director-General of the Child and Family Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. In response to this, in July 2020, Motoichi announced as a 10-year prefectural social childcare promotion plan for Motoichi, "Basic Policy for Promoting Social Childcare in Yokohama City (Reiwa 2-Reiwa 11) ”, And promote foster parent entrustment, etc., with the first half from FY2020 and the second half from FY7 to FY11, and the targets are reviewed at the end of each end.

History of the full review of the “Basic Policy for Promoting Social Childcare in Yokohama City”
Based on the revised Child Welfare Law enacted in June 2022 and the 2021 Social Security Council's elementary school student Subcommittee on Social Care, on March 12, 2024, the government notified the "Guidelines for Formulation of Prefectural Social Care Promotion Plan" and provided basic ideas for comprehensively reviewing existing prefectural social care promotion plans and matters to be described in the plan. Based on this notice, we will review the plan for five years from 2025 to 11 by the end of 2024.
