Ibukino Elementary School (Midori Ward)

In April 2008, Ibukino Elementary School in Midori Ward moved to Nagatsuta Elementary School to improve the educational environment of elementary school studenｔ in response to the increase in the number of elementary school studenｔ.

We have set up the "Ibukino Elementary School School Area Coordination Committee" consisting of areas related to Ibukino Elementary School, PTA representatives, school officials, etc., and have been examining changes in school areas.
The Committee held a total of eight times from September 2006 to December 2007006 for about one year and five months, compiled the results of the examination into a written opinion and submitted it to the Board of Education.

This study was conducted based on the "Basic Policy on Optimizing the Scale and Placement of Yokohama City Elementary and Junior High Schools and Review of School Area System" (established in December 2003).
