We conducted a dialogue (sounding survey) with business operators to provide a reference when considering "the future of junior high school lunch".

Overview

　Yokohama City has been providing selective junior high school meals (delivery type) since April 2021. In addition to nutritional balance, we also provide local cuisine, event food, local production and local consumption in various regions, and other menus that are rarely eaten at home. Through the school lunch, the rate of eating in April 2022 will be 30.1%, which is expected to be around 30% in the future.
　At present, with the aim of providing junior high school school lunch to more students based on the purpose of the School Lunch Act, we are working on organizing issues and examining implementation schedules for all methods. Dialogue (Sounding survey) was conducted for businesses interested in the junior high school lunch business in Yokohama City to provide a reference when considering the "future junior high school lunch" aiming to be announced in December 2022.

Outline of "Dialogue" Implementation (please refer to the implementation guidelines for details)
Participants:	Private businesses (corporations or groups that intend to become the implementing entity of the project, etc.)
Method of dialogue	Dialogue through interviews (planned for about one hour per business operator) In order to protect ideas and know-how, dialogue will be conducted individually.
Contents of dialogue	Please let us know your opinions and suggestions regarding the following items. Junior high school school lunch (A method of serving heat-retaining food cans at the school lunch Plant, delivering and serving food to the target schools) Junior high school school lunch by delivery method (A method of serving lunch boxes at the school lunch Plant, delivering and serving meals to the target schools) ※About self-school method, parent-child method, we do not assume target of this sounding investigation because city is conduct entity.
