Information on the selection method and examination date of the Yokohama City Public School Teacher Recruitment Candidate Selection Examination to be implemented in Reiwa 6 (2024).

Aptitude test
Examination period
From the date of issuance of the examination card to the date specified separately
How to take the test
Internet (online test)
※Details such as the deadline will be announced on the admission ticket issued from mid-June to late June. Test results will be used as auxiliary materials for individual interviews (second exams).
※If the inspection has not been completed by the due date, you will be disqualified.
Primary Examination
※Details of the test venue, meeting time, etc. will be announced on the admission ticket issued from mid-June to late June.
Test date
Sunday, July 7, 2024
Thesis test (secondary test) will be conducted on the same day. Those who are exempt from the primary exam must also take the exam.
Test site
Yokohama venue (Yokohama city)
Applicable to all examination categories and selection categories
Osaka venue (Yamato University Osaka Suita Campus 2-5-1 Katayamacho, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture)
- Category to be implemented:
General selection of elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools (technology, home), and special needs schools
Those who have passed the screening of documents in the Special Selection 3 and 8 for all examination categories (only the thesis examination of the second examination) - Capacity and application method:
Approximately 500 people (in order of application)
※If you wish, please select "Osaka Venue" at the time of application.
※If you exceed the capacity, we may guide you to the entrance examination at the Yokohama venue. (The examination venue will be announced when the examination ticket is issued.)
※The second test site will be in Yokohama City.
Belongings
- ID photo (1 4cm x 3cm)
※Front facing, upper body, hat off, no background, color / black / white, photographed after April 1, 2024
Please bring your name and examination number (listed on the examination card issued from mid-June to late June) on the back.
Please bring it separately from the one attached to the interview card. - Interview card (1 original copy, 2 copies)
Please download the form of the interview card and create it.
In addition, please attach the same ID photo as you bring on the first test day. - Documents that can confirm additional qualifications (certificate of grant of license, certificate of expected license acquisition, certificate issued by each qualification test organization, etc.)

※1 Please take the test from the date of issue of the admission ticket to the date specified separately. If the inspection has not been completed by the due date, you will be disqualified.
※2 Those who have passed the document screening of special screenings 3 and 8 and those who have special screenings 5 and 7 are exempt from the primary exam, but must take the dissertation test on Sunday, July 7th. In addition, please take the aptitude test from the date of issuance of the examination card to the date specified separately.

Second trial
Test date and test site
From early August to mid-September 2024, it will be held on the first day specified at the time of announcement of passing the first examination. Details of the schedule for each examination category will be announced on the website after mid-June.
All test venues are in Yokohama.

We will inform you on the website when the results of the first exam are announced.
Test contents
About 18 minutes of mock class
- Consider setting class based on the theme presented on the day 5 minutes
- 10 minutes of class
- 3 minutes of Q&A session on the class conducted
※The school nurse will provide a mock response (scene guidance) instead of a mock lesson.
About 30 minutes individual interview
During the interview, a mock response (scenery instruction) will be conducted for about 2 minutes (excluding school nurses).
45 minutes of thesis examination (conducted on the first examination day)
※The theme and number of characters will be presented on the day.
