On this page, we will inform you about recruitment notices and events up to recruitment.

  • We have posted information on the delivery of notices regarding recruitment. (February 2)
  • Materials on the day of the "Pre-Recruitment Meeting" are posted. If you have applied for participation, please be sure to check. (January 5)

[Important] About sending out notice of recruitment

A notice of recruitment has been sent to prospective recruiters on Friday, February 2nd.
We use envelopes submitted to prospective hires.
If you do not receive it by Monday, February 12, please contact the Faculty and Human Resources Division Appointment Section (045-671-3246). The content of the notice varies depending on the school type, subject, and place of residence.
Please check it as soon as you receive it.

About report of planned residence, etc.

Target person

  • Those who have entered "Undecided" in the planned residence field column of the "Recruitment Candidate Card"
  • Those who change the planned residence location listed on the "Recruitment Candidate Card"
  • Those who have changed the contact information listed on the "Recruitment Candidate Card"


Matters to be noted

  • Due to personnel assignments, please report by the end of January if there is a change in your planned residence due to personnel assignment. If you contact us after February, we may not be able to reflect it in our personnel assignments.
    However, please note that even if you contact us, you will not always be assigned to a school near your planned residence.
  • This notice will not be reflected in the mailing address of the "Information Notification Envelope". If you move after submitting the “Envelope for Notification Period”, be sure to check the post office's “Relocation and transfer service (outside site)Please complete the transfer procedure of the mail.

On October 13, 2023, we sent a letter of acceptance (notice of recruitment) and the following documents.
There are documents that require procedures to the relevant organizations. The procedure may take some time, so please prepare as soon as possible.
For some documents, the deadline for procedures with related organizations is Monday, October 30, so please prepare them especially early.

Information on the pre-employment round-table conference

We hold "pre-employment round-table conference" so that you can resolve any concerns, worries, and questions when becoming a teacher in Yokohama City.
We hope that you will take this opportunity to create a connection with your senior faculty members and candidates for the same period, and welcome your new life from April without any anxiety.
We look forward to your participation.

  • Date and time: Start 13:00 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 (scheduled to end around 16:00)
  • Venue: Yokohama Hanasaki Building (6-145 Hanasaki-cho, Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi)
    [Nearest station] A 2-minute walk from "Takashimacho" Municipal Subway Blue Line "Tobe" 7 minutes walk on Keikyu Main Line
  • Application period: From Friday, October 13, 2023 to Monday, November 13, 2023

Pre-employment training (registered)

 The "Pre-Recruitment Training" is a training course for you to prepare for standing in front of elementary school student students from April and what you should do by April 1, and to prepare for your arrival as a faculty member of Yokohama City.
Training will be held mainly on e-learning. Take the course as much as possible so that you can take the first step at school with peace of mind.


▶Registration should be done from the URL (two-dimensional code) described in the "Pre-Recruitment Training" enclosed in the "Contacts".
▶In late November, we will inform you how to log in to the registered e-learning training management system "Leaf" for taking e-learning.
※If you do not receive the above e-mail after December, there is a possibility that the registered e-mail address may be incorrect. Please contact the person in charge below.

Precautions for inquiring by telephone

First, tell us your name and that you are a candidate for recruitment.

There are calls from various people in Board of Education Secretariat. In order to respond smoothly to inquiries, "I am XX scheduled to be adopted in April." Please tell us your name and that you are a candidate for recruitment, such as "I'm a candidate for recruitment."

Please contact us by contacting us.

In order to prevent misunderstandings or misunderstandings, we do not respond to inquiries from anyone other than the candidate for recruitment.
If you have any questions about the procedure, please contact us by the candidate.
Inquiries can be handled are from 8:45 to 17:15 on weekdays (lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00).
