What is the Medical Safety Support Center?

Due to the revision of the Medical Law on April 1, 2007, prefectures and municipalities with health centers have decided to work to establish a “Medical Safety Support Center”.
In order to ensure the trust of residents in medical care, the Medical Safety Support Center will respond to complaints, concerns and consultations from patients and residents regarding medical care based on Article 6 of the Medical Law, and provide advice and information to medical care facilities (hospitals, clinics, midwives, pharmacies, etc.), patients and residents.

In March 2013, eight years have passed since the establishment of the consultation desk and five years have passed since it was positioned as a medical safety support center, and a booklet has been published reflecting on past efforts.

About Medical Safety Promotion Council
	★Medical Safety Promotion Council★ We have set up a council to examine the management policy of the Medical Safety Consultation Service and measures for promoting medical safety in the Yokohama city area.

About medical safety workshop, citizen enlightenment activity

★Medical safety workshops and public awareness activities★
Medical safety training sessions (for medical professionals) Training sessions are held mainly for medical facility workers with the aim of promoting medical safety and improving patient services at medical institutions.
Citizen awareness activities We provide dispatch lecture/off site lecture to patients and citizens with knowledge of medical care and support independent self-determination in medical treatment. We also provide information such as lectures for reference.
