Guidance for Infectious Diseases
The Act on the Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases (Infectious Diseases Law) stipulates infectious diseases requiring notification to the Health and Welfare Center.
Eligible infectious diseases standards and forms have been revised as appropriate, and the latest version can be downloaded from this page.
◆Notice◆
Regarding the notification based on the Infectious Diseases Law, a part of the Enforcement Regulations on Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases was revised, and from September 25, 2023, new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) Limited to those that require coronavirus (limited to those newly reported from the People's Republic of China to the World Health Organization in January 2020). Along with this, notification standards and notification styles have been added.

Notification standards and notification styles are posted in the following order according to classification. In the classification, in principle, lined up in the alphabetical order of the disease name.
Veterinarian Notification Standards and Notification of Infectious Diseases (animals) are posted after pseudo-phase specified by Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
