Beware of heat stroke!!
- From April 29 to June 30, 2009, the number of transport (using Fire Bureau data) was 131 (April 0, May 31 and June 100). On June 24, the number of transports was 12 people / day, the highest in the period. On this day, the maximum temperature was 33.4 degrees Celsius and the heat index was 30.8, both of which were the highests within the period.
- During the rainy season, when the body is not yet used to the heat, it tends to increase on sultry days, days when the wind is weak, days when the sun is strong, etc. Let's protect yourself.
- Use frequent hydration, use air conditioners and fans to properly adjust the room temperature properly, and do not overdo it when it is hot, and be careful about physical condition management.
- The 80s were the most common at 31 (23.7%), followed by 30 (22.9%) in teens.
- 64.9% outdoors and 35.1% indoors, the number of outdoor outbreaks is increasing.
- It was 62.6% mild, 35.1% moderate, and severe 2.3%.
- The percentage of elderly people with moderate or higher was 54.4%.

Points of heat stroke prevention action
(1) Replenish water frequently
○ Replenish water, salt, sports drinks, etc. indoors and outdoors, even if you do not feel thirsty.
People who want to pay special attention
- Children need to be careful because their ability to control body temperature is not well developed.
- Elderly people need to be careful because their sensory function for heat and lack of water and to adjust their body.
- Special care should be taken because people with disabilities may not be able to complain about their symptoms.
(2) About the use of air conditioner
○ The use of air conditioners is effective to prevent heat stroke. However, general household air conditioners only circulates the air and do not ventilate. Even during cooling, it is necessary to perform ventilation by opening windows and ventilation fans. The indoor temperature tends to be higher due to ventilation, so make adjustments such as lowering the temperature setting of the air conditioner.
(3) About moving to a cool place
○ If you feel any unusual physical condition outdoors, it is effective to move to a cool place (shadow or well-ventilated place) immediately.
(4) About daily health management
○ Get enough sleep and try to have a well-balanced meal.
○ Get to know your body on a daily basis and enhance your health management. Also, if you feel unwell, don't overdo it and recuperate at home.
