Heat stroke prevention point

1 Consumed water frequently

・Let's take water frequently even if you don't get thirsty.
※Alcohol has a diuretic effect, so it dehydration is promoted.
・If you sweat a lot, replenish water and salt with a sports drink.
・Don't drink a lot at once, let's take the appropriate amount into small portions.

2 Invention of clothes

・Looth your collar and wear well-ventilated clothes.
・When you go out, use a hat or parasol.
・Let's make clothes that absorb sweat and make it a highly breathable material.

3 Avoid heat

・Avoid direct sunlight and try to walk in the shade.
・Avoid working under the scorching sun or hot and humid exercise as much as possible.

Moderate disease

Headache, mood discomfort, nausea, vomiting, malaise, vanishment

Disorders of consciousness, convulsions, limb movement disorders, hyperthermia

※When heat stroke becomes severe, there is no sweating and the skin becomes dry, so it is important not to judge only by sweat.

First aid

・Evacuation to a cool environment
⇒Rest in an air-conditioned room or in a well-ventilated place in the shade.
・Undressing and cooling
⇒Take measures to lower your body temperature by taking off your clothes and releasing heat, bathing in water, sending the wind, cooling with ice cubes, etc.
・Replenishment of water and salt
⇒Avoid excessive intake during vomiting, as there is a risk of aspiration.
※Avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they may increase urine volume and dehydration.
Oral rehydration solution (a dissolved salt and glucose in water) and sports drinks that can replenish the salt lost due to sweat are ideal.
Not being able to hydrate on your own is a guide for transporting to a medical institution. Let's respond as soon as you don't get serious.

Let's pay attention to this point.

Pay attention to changes in your physical condition every day.
Always pay attention to changes in your physical condition and surroundings on a daily basis. Elderly people, children, and people with disabilities need special care.

Approximately half of heat stroke patients are elderly people aged 65 and over.

Elderly people have reduced sensory function for heat and lack of water and body adjustment for heat are reduced.
Because you often suffer heat stroke indoors, check the indoor temperature and humidity frequently and use the air conditioner even if you do not feel the heat.

Care must be taken for those who have difficulty complaining of poor physical condition.

Pay attention to the physical condition of those who have difficulty complaining of poor physical condition, such as small children and people with disabilities.
Care should be taken because small children have not yet fully developed the body temperature regulation function and are susceptible to heat stroke.
If you have a disease, the function of regulating body temperature may be reduced. It is important to pay attention to changes in your physical condition.
