At the Stroke and Neurospinal Center, specialists at this center provide reference opinions and judgments to patients and their families who are worried about diagnosis and treatment, so that patients and their families can help make decisions. We have established a second opinion outpatient department.

As a general rule, it is the patient who is visiting another medical institution.
In addition, we accept consultations from family members with the consent of the patient.
Contents of consultation
Specialist doctors at our center will provide specialized reference opinions and judgments in the field regarding diagnosis and treatment policies at other medical institutions.
As a general rule, treatment and examination are not performed to bring films such as CT, MRI, etc. from other hospitals. However, if the doctor at this center determines that sufficient judgment cannot be made with the film brought, etc., it may perform retake or additional tests with the consent of the patient (in this case, a separate fee will be required).

Advance reservations are required, and the date and time must be determined in coordination with the doctor in charge.
The doctor in charge will be handled by specialists from Internal medicine, neurosurgery and Orthopaedic surgery, depending on the content of the consultation.
The consultation time is basically one hour and can be extended in 30 minutes.
Costs
This is the sum of the consultation fee and the diagnosis fee.
Basic consultation fee (up to 1 hour consultation time) 11,000 yen
Additional consultation fee (every 30 minutes additional consultation time) 5,500 yen
Diagnosis fee (including reading of brought films, etc.): Calculated based on the amount of medical fees.
