Even though the person who visited the Kanagawa Ward Life Support Division on February 22, 2021 expressed social security's intention to apply, the Division did not accept the application. On March 9 of the same year, he apologized directly to the parties and made a press release.
In response to this incident, we consulted with the Yokohama City Council of Social Welfare to investigate and verify the cause of this incident and prevent recurrence, and established the “social security Application Response Verification Subcommittee” consisting of outside experts with specialized knowledge. A total of five discussions were held at the Specialized Subcommittee, and a report was received in February 2022.
