Dementia responsiveness improvement training for professionals (dentists, pharmacists, nursing staff, medical staff)

In order to enhance the regional medical system for dementia, Yokohama City conducts training to improve dementia responsiveness based on the outline set forth by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
On this page, we have released a list of "dentists and pharmacists" who have agreed to publish the list.

Dentist Dementia Response Improvement Training

Purpose

By conducting training for dentists who are consulted by the elderly to acquire the basic knowledge necessary to support the person with dementia and their families, and the importance of cooperation between medical care and nursing care, In addition to realizing people with suspected dementia at an early stage, responding in cooperation with family doctors, etc., we will continue to appropriately perform dental treatment and oral management according to the situation of people with dementia, and support system for people with dementia The purpose of building

Dentists working (including opening) in the city

Contents

Contents contribute to the acquisition of basic knowledge and cooperation pertaining to people with dementia necessary as family dentists.

Certificate of completion

A certificate of completion will be issued to those who have completed this training.

Publication of rosters

The list of trainees for improving the ability to respond to dentist dementia will publish the “Medical Institution Name, Location, Phone number, Name” for dentists and medical institutions that can agree to the list on the Yokohama City website.

Pharmacist Dementia Response Improvement Training

Purpose

Training to acquire the basic knowledge necessary to support the person with dementia and their families and the importance of cooperation between medical care and nursing care for pharmacies and pharmacists who are in contact with the elderly when consulted or after consultation By conducting training, people with suspected dementia will be noticed at an early stage, respond in cooperation with family doctors, etc., and will continue to appropriately manage pharmacological management according to the situation of people with dementia, The purpose of supporting people with dementia.

As a pharmacist, it shall be content that contributes to the acquisition of basic knowledge and cooperation pertaining to people with dementia necessary.

Certificate of completion

A certificate of completion will be issued to those who have completed this training.

Publication of rosters

The list of trainees for improving the ability to respond to pharmacist dementia will announce the "workplace name, location, Phone number, name" for pharmacists and medical institutions that can agree to the list on the Yokohama City homepage.

Nursing staff dementia responsiveness improvement training

Purpose

For nursing staff who have many opportunities to interact with people with dementia, acquire the necessary basic knowledge according to the process from hospitalization to discharge at medical institutions, etc., and practical ability to respond to the characteristics of individual dementia, etc. By communicating to nursing staff such as the same medical institution, we aim at appropriate implementation of dementia care in medical institutions and construction of management system.

Training for improving dementia responsiveness for healthcare professionals

We conduct training so that healthcare professionals who are involved in dementia can learn correct knowledge about dementia and how to respond to people with dementia. . The content is in accordance with the outline of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and is entrusted to the Medical Center for Dementia Diseases in the city to implement the program.
