Dementia support physicians and family doctor

In Yokohama-shi, we carry out dementia support doctor training and family doctor dementia responsiveness improvement training to enhance the regional medical system for dementia.
On this page, we have released a list of "dementia support physicians" and "family doctors" who have consented to the publication of the list.

Dementia support physicians are doctors who are proficient in consulting with people with dementia, provide advice and other support to family doctors, etc., and will promote cooperation with specialized medical institutions and Regional Comprehensive Support Centers.

• Planning of training for family doctors to improve dementia responsiveness for family doctors at prefectural and designated city medical associations
• In addition to serving as advisors and advisors regarding dementia diagnosis of family doctors, establish a cooperative system with other dementia support physicians (promotion physicians).
• Cooperation for the creation of cooperation between the regional medical association and the Regional Comprehensive Support Center

It is expected to be a promoter of cooperation in the region.

This program is based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. After completing the training, all participants will be responsible for the role of support physicians.

Doctors who meet any of the following conditions

• Doctors engaged in dementia treatment (early detection, etc.) in the community
• Doctors who can appropriately play the role of dementia support physicians as defined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.　

• Contents that contribute to the acquisition of knowledge and effective educational skills necessary for planning training for family doctors to improve their ability to respond to dementia
• Knowledge in the nursing field necessary to support the elderly with dementia in the community, the construction of a cooperative system with related organizations in the community, and the knowledge and skills necessary to promote cooperation

A doctor who has the correct knowledge and understanding of dementia and can support people with dementia and their families in the community.

In accordance with the outline of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, it is entrusted to the Dementia Disease Medical Center in the city.

In cooperation with dementia support physicians, by conducting training to acquire appropriate knowledge and skills for dementia medical treatment and knowledge and methods to support people with dementia and their families, in each region, The purpose is to establish a support system for people with dementia according to the situation from the beginning.

Family doctor in the city (regardless of medical departments)

The aim is to "be aware that you have dementia early and can respond appropriately." In accordance with the outline of the country, the content will be based on the local situation, including "About the role of family doctor", "About diagnosis and treatment", and "About cooperation and system".

To apply, please contact the medical institution that hosts the training directly.

A certificate of completion specified by the government will be issued to those who have attended both the “Diagnosis / Medical Care” and “Regional Cooperation / System” during the same year, we will issue a certificate of completion specified by the government.
