The Health and Welfare Plan for the Elderly and the The Long-term Care Insurance Business Plan are formulated every three years as a comprehensive plan for the smooth implementation of long-term care insurance systems and health and welfare services for the elderly.
Since the planning period of the Seventh Elderly Health and Welfare Plan and the The Long-term Care Insurance Business Plan will end in fiscal 2020, we will formulate the Eighth Elderly Health and Welfare Plan and The Long-term Care Insurance Business Plan with a three-year period from fiscal 2021 to fiscal 5.
In addition, in response to the National Dementia Measures Promotion Guidelines, we decided to formulate a new Dementia Measures Promotion Plan integrally with the 8th Yokohama City Elderly Health and Welfare Plan and the The Long-term Care Insurance Business Plan.
Based on this eighth plan, we will promote welfare measures for the elderly in anticipation of 2025, when all baby boomers will be 75 years or older, and 2040, when the baby boomers will be 65 years or older.
We carry out public comment based on draft to hear opinion, suggestion from citizen widely on development of the eighth plan.

About opinion, impression of all of you for plan draft, we raise in one of the following ways.
- Mail: Please use the postcard attached to the draft booklet. ※The draft booklet is distributed to the Citizen Information Center (city hall 3rd floor), each ward office, community care plaza, welfare center for the elderly, district center, etc.

Regarding the handling of opinions and personal information received
- The opinions received will be used as a reference for future planning and measures for the elderly.
- We will not respond individually to your comments, but we will report the results compiled at a later date to the The Long-term Care Insurance Management Council and other organizations.
- Documents of the meeting are announced and can be viewed on the Yokohama City homepage and the Citizen Information Center (city hall 3F).
- Personal information obtained with the submission of opinions will be properly managed in accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance on the Protection of Personal Information in Yokohama City, and will be used only for work related to the formulation of the 8th Yokohama City Elderly Health and Welfare Plan, The Long-term Care Insurance Business Plan, and Dementia Measures Promotion Plan.
