Elderly meal service business

We will visit the user's home and give you a nutritionally balanced meal directly, and confirm your safety at the time of the visit.
This "meal service" is a service implemented by Yokohama City, and a service provider contracted with Yokohama City will deliver meals.

Those who met both the following requirements for "mental and mental conditions" and "care ability" and performed "adjustment of use of food-related services" and found that this service (food distribution and safety confirmation) is necessary (*)
※Even if both requirements are met, the Service will not be available on days when safety confirmation is in place due to the The Long-term Care Insurance Service or other means.

Physical and mental conditions

  1. Those who need nursing care 2 or more
  2. Those who need support or nursing care 1 who have dementia (elderly with dementia daily life independence level II or higher) and have difficulty securing meals
  3. Those who need support or nursing care 1 and have a high risk of undernutrition (*) and have difficulty securing meals
    ※10% or more of weight loss in the last 6 months and 3.0g/dl or less serum albumin level
  4. Persons with physical disabilities (*) who have difficulty securing meals due to mental and physical disabilities, etc.
    ※Those who have visual impairment, balance dysfunction, physical disability, heart dysfunction, respiratory dysfunction, renal dysfunction and have a first to third grade certificate of the physically disabled
  5. Those who are deemed necessary by Director Health and Welfare Center regardless of the provisions of 1-4.

Care power

  1. Living alone
  2. Households that follow living alone
    A. When it is difficult to secure meals because the living together family usually works during the day.
    B. When the living together family is unable to secure meals due to illness or disability (including cases where daily life is impaired due to significant physical weakness)

Number of times available

1 meal per day (one lunch or dinner), up to 5 days a week.

Available businesses

The areas that can be delivered vary depending on the business operator. Please refer to “5. List of Business Operators”.
In addition, up to two businesses can be used by deciding the day of the week in units of one week.
However, it cannot exceed the usage limit (one meal per day, up to 5 days a week).

Usage Fees

You will be required to pay the actual cost, such as the cost of ingredients (pay directly to the food distribution company).
Up to 720 yen per meal. However, the therapeutic food may exceed 720 yen.

Prior visit by business operators

For those who have been decided to use, a consignment company (food distribution company) will visit your home and explain the service contents in detail.

Period of use

As use period is fixed, please submit use adjustment result vote to each ward Elderly and Disabled Support Division when you update.
Please ask the "Usage Adjustment Executing Agency" to create a usage adjustment result sheet.

What is the "Usage Adjustment Executing Agency"?

It is an organization that coordinates the use of services related to food to those who wish to use the meal service or users.
Depending on the situation of the user, it is as follows.

A. Home care support offices
The Long-term Care Insurance service users who have created a home service plan or a care prevention service plan drafted by the home care support office (care manager) in charge.
B. Local Elderly Care Management Center (Community Care Plaza, etc.)
Elderly people other than the above “A. Home Care Support Offices” (not The Long-term Care Insurance users and those who do not outsource the drafting of the preventive care service plan to the home care support office)
C. Health and Welfare Center, each district
Persons with disabilities, etc.

Other requests for use

  • Depending on the user's condition (such as weak swallowing power), it may not be possible to prepare the contents as requested that can be eaten safely.
    Be sure to consult with the person in charge of each food distribution office or the use coordination organization to determine the details of the shape and type.
  • Be sure to stay at home for delivery time. If you are absent at the time of delivery, we will take your meal home. (If you cancel on the day or stay at the time of delivery, you will be charged the meal fee for the day next time.)
  • If you are absent, be sure to contact the food service provider by the day before.
  • Please note that delivery time cannot be specified due to route delivery.
  • The definition of mixer food is "paste-like, close to liquid-like."
  • If you do not pay the usage fee, you may not be able to use the service.

If you would like to use the service, please consult with the agency.
After receiving the “Coordinating Use of Food-related Services” at the implementing agency, submit an application form to each ward Elderly and Disabled Support Division.
In addition, the use coordination organization can also perform the application on behalf of the application.
