With the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port in 2009, Zou-no-Hana-District, the birthplace of the port, we are proceeding with redevelopment to create an attractive space for bustle and interaction while taking advantage of its precious historical and symbolism as the birthplace of Yokohama Port.
Based on the recommendations of the Zou-no-Hana-District Water Area Utilization Review Committee, we have formulated a water area utilization plan in Zou-no-Hana-District based on the "How to Use Water Area in Zou-no-Hana-District" (PDF: 386KB), which was proposed by the "Zou-no-Hana-District Water Area Use Exploratory Committee."

Since Zou-no-Hana-District will be a place for highly convenient transportation, we will secure the mooring function of small ships (business ships) in Yokohama Port, and allow ships such as passenger ships and sightseeing boats in the port can be used by citizens. We aim to switch to a water area, but for the time being, we will use water areas in harmony with the port's business activities, centering on ships used by citizens.
