Zounohana Park Maintenance Map

In addition to renovating the elephant-no-hana breakwaters and seawalls, in addition to an open space (open port quay) with a view from Nihon Odori Avenue to the port, green open space overlooking the port and the sea as a place to enjoy waterside and night views.

(1)Zone A

(Open Opening Hill)
A green open space overlooking the port and the sea, and a waterside promenade are maintained, making it a place to enjoy the waterside and night view.

(Elephant Nohana Terrace)
It is a resting facility with a cafe in order to accumulate creative functions as a base area for the National Art Park concept.
Zou-no-hana Terrace is a base for cultural tourism exchange where art works can be exhibited and performances such as music and theater performances can be held.
I'll use it.

(2)Zone B (open port wharf)

In addition to securing a space for viewing from Nihon Odori Avenue to the port, it is an open space where events can be held.

(3)Elephant's nose breakwater

It was restored to its appearance in the late 20s.
In the restoration, it is now possible to see the shape of the masonry that sank after the Great Kanto Earthquake can be seen.

(4)Water Area

  • Small sightseeing boats and business ships are moored.
  • "Pia Zounohana" will be a new water transportation base as a departure and arrival place for sightseeing passenger ships and sightseeing boats in the port.

(5)Other major features

By placing screen panels at regular intervals while taking advantage of the curves of the breakwater after the restoration, it covers the entire area.
It creates a large circle-shaped space, creating a symbolic space that commemorates the 150th anniversary of the opening of the port.
It was formed. In addition, by utilizing screen panels as lighting, we perform beautiful and attractive night views throughout the district.
It is a characteristic place where you can see it from the surrounding area.
