[Utilization of Remains of Historic Ports]

In order to feel the history of the port, we will restore the elephant-no-hana breakwater in the form of the Meiji period. It also introduces the history of Zou-no-Hana-District and the remains of the port from the Meiji period discovered during construction.

Remains of the harbor discovered

1 Iron tracks and turntables for cargo lines at port
  Iron tracks and turntables that were responsible for cargo handling from the quay developed in the late 20s to the import sheds of Yokohama Customs.

2 Foundations of the former Yokohama Customs Warehouse
  Building foundation for a two-story brick warehouse at Yokohama Customs, which was constructed in the late 20s

3 masonry breakwater
  A part of the masonry seawalls subsided due to the Great Kanto Earthquake among the masonry seawalls in the early opening of the port.
