From the perspective of preventing the spread of COVID-19, National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)'s following procedures can be submitted via electronic application (minor portal) or by mail. If you wish to apply by mail, please check the necessary documents in advance and enclose the required documents and mail it. Please note that documents will be returned if there are any omissions in required items or required documents is missing.

If you have a My Number card, you can apply electronically from the minor portal. ※You can also apply electronically from your smartphone.

Procedure for electronic application

Preparation for Use

1 Prepare the "My Number Card" and the password set when you received your My Number Card.
2 Access the minor portal and complete the user registration procedure.

Notification of change in classification from National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) No. 3 insured to No. 1 Insured

※The procedure for switching from National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) to Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin) or No. 3 insured is a procedure at your company and does not require any procedures at the ward office.
※Applications for student payment exceptions, exemptions, and grace can be traced back to the past two years. (However, in principle, the period already paid is excluded.)

On May 1, 2020, a special procedure for National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) insurance premiums becomes difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is possible to apply for the fiscal year 2022.
