National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin)

• National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) aims to provide necessary benefits for old age, disability and death, and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of healthy people's lives. (Articles 1 and 2 of the National Pension Act)
• All persons aged between 20 and 60 who have Address in Japan are required to join.
• The National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) business is managed by the government and operated by the Japan pension Organization.

• National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) subscribers are divided into three groups according to their occupations, and the procedures for joining and paying insurance premiums differ.

1. No. 1 Insured Person
   Target: Self-employed, students, unemployed, etc.
   Enrollment procedure: It will be held at the ward office.
   Premiums: I'll pay it myself.
2. No. 2 Insured Person
   Target: Office employees, public servants, etc.
   Enrollment procedure: I will do it at my office.
   Premiums: You'll be deducted from your salary.
3. No. 3 Insured Person
   Target: No. 2 Wife (husband) dependent on the insured
   Enrollment procedure: This is done at the office of my husband (wife).
   Premiums: Employee Pension Plan (Kosei Nenkin), etc., to which the husband (wife) joins, will bear the system.

• The ward office accepts procedures for the first insured, such as joining the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) and applying for exemption.
• National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) insurance premiums are handled by the pension Office (pension Japan).
• The procedure differs depending on the type of pension and the details of the procedure.
