"Kanabuk" Support for raising children Kanagawa Ward 6

　In this month's “Director General People and Town Exploration (outside site)”, we will introduce the activities of the story-telling volunteer “Kanabuk”.
　"Kanabuk" is a story-telling group of picture books that are active in various places such as public facilities in the city. With the cooperation of the Kanagawa Library and the local child care support base "Kanachie", we read stories mainly for 0-year-olds.

　On this day, we visited the story-telling party "Holding on your 0-year-old knee" held at Kanachie Satellite (outside site). It was impressive that the babies were paying attention to the story-telling full of realism. According to Mr. Nakao, a librarian at the Kanagawa Library, picture books can be enjoyed around 5 to 6 months after birth. The babies seemed to be interested in picture books, voices and various sounds in picture books.

　At the end of the story-telling session, it was time for the exchange between "Kanabk" and participants. Participants asked, "What picture book should I choose?", He was advised with his own actual child-rearing experience. "Kanabuk" values this exchange time. It seems that we want the story-telling party to be one of the places where parents and children can spend. I felt that reading aloud not only enjoyed picture books, but also a time for parents and children to interact, and it was a place where I could consult about everyday child care concerns.

　It is said that the goal of "Kanabuk" is to go to "Kamekko", which has 47 venues in 45 districts in the city, and to hold a "Delivery Storytelling Party". I'm really looking forward to seeing you can meet the activities of "Kanabuk" in every place in the city.
