　Kanagawa Ward is engaged in the Sukusuku-Kamekko Project, which creates a hangout for parents and children to chat and make friends together. "Kamekko" is operated by the Kanagawa Ward Office, local residents such as the Union Neighborhood Associations, and the "Local Child Care Support Center Kanachie".・ We are working on creating a climate.

　In this month's “Director General People and Town Exploration (outside site)”, I visited the “Kamekko”, which is located in 47 venues in 45 districts in Kanagawa Ward.

　In the Matsugaoka district, "Kamekko" is held on the third Thursday of every month in principle at Matsugaoka community hall. When I visited community hall, I saw the children playing happily with the staff.
　The feature here is that parents only have enough time. When we arrive at the venue first, parents and children go up to the second floor. While playing with various toys in the room, parents can get down to the first floor, where they can slowly consult about raising children's concerns and exchange information. .

　There are about 15 staff members working in Matsugaoka. These are those who live nearby and senior moms who have experienced raising children. In addition to playing with children, I also listen to parents' concerns and consult with them. I'm making time for parents to interact with each other because I want you to refresh myself for a short time and work hard to raise children again. It's an idea only for the staff who know the difficulty of raising children.
　Mr. Uematsu, chairman of the self-government, said, "I would like to support child-raising in the community so that children can think of Matsugaoka as their hometown."

　From users, "It is a good opportunity for parents to easily consult with each other about their concerns about raising children." I felt that having a place to support child-rearing was a great support for families raising children.

　"Kamekko" started in 2001 and is the 23rd year this year. It seems that mothers who have used "Kamekko" in the past may come back as staff. I would like you to continue this initiative for a long time while promoting the generational change of the leaders.
　In the future, Kanagawa Ward aims to create a town where children can be raised while watching over the entire community.
