Early vote
Early voting is a system in which those who are expected to have a certain schedule, such as work or travel, on the day of the voting day, can mail directly to the ballot box before the voting day and vote.
Early voting can be done from the day after the official (notification) announcement date to the day before the voting day.

Absentee voting
Absentee voting means that those who are expected to have a certain schedule, such as work or travel, on the voting day, vote before the voting day at the Election Commission other than the electoral list registration place, or have a certain severe physical disability It is a system that allows people with disabilities to vote before the voting day by mail.
Unlike early voting, electors cannot post directly to the ballot box.
Absentee voting on ships
If you are a crew member of a ship with a gross tonnage of 20 tons or more (30 tons or more of fishing boats) and are on board on the day of the election and cannot vote at the polling place yourself, the absentee voting listed on the ship You can vote at the location.
In addition, for absentee voting on board, it is necessary to receive "electoral list registration certificate" in advance.
How to apply
Please submit the following documents to Isoko-ku, Yokohama-shi board of elections by mail or bringing (even proxy/agent is acceptable).

- Seafarer's handbook (or certificate of being a seafarer, trainee's certificate of training ship trainee) ※No copy is allowed

The "electoral list registration certificate" must be presented at the time of various elections, regardless of the voting method. (Even if you vote at an early polling place or a polling place on the day, presentation is required.)
