Well at Goshodai (Masako's well)

When Yoritomo Minamoto, who became the conquering general, opened the Shogunate in Kamakura, a path was created for the lords of Kanto countries to rush to Kamakura.
In the ward, there is the "Kanazawa Kamakura Road" from the side of the Hodogaya Tax Office to Yokohama Seifu High School (former Meirin High School). When you climb the steep slope (Iwana Iwanazaka) on the way, you will find a quiet corner with Azumaya on the right. This is the well of Goshodai, also known as Masako's well.
Masako is Masako Hojo, the wife of Yoritomo, who practically did the work of the general after Yoritomo's death and was called the "Nunshogun."
There is a legend that Masako used the water from this well for makeup, and there is a theory that this area may have been the land owned by Masako.
Even after the Edo period, the water from this well was used for cooking when the emperor and general stopped by Karube Honjin in Hodogaya-juku.
Until the beginning of the Showa era, Shimizu seemed to flow around here, and there is a poem that says, "The well of the nunsho Masako is overflowing and tomorrow morning (tomorrow) cool crab play."
