Mr. Marieta Alaba, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Japan, visited Hodogaya Ward on Friday, February 10.
Hodogaya Ward and the Republic of Bulgaria have continued to interact with each other on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Hodogaya district system.
The main purpose of this ambassador's visit was to interact with elementary school students.On the day of the event, they visited Gontasaka Elementary School and Kamihoshikawa Elementary School in the morning to introduce Bulgaria, read picture books, school lunch of Bulgaria menu, etc. We had you interact with.
The children who were a little nervous at first touched on the friendly ambassador's personality and said, "What is the most popular dishes in Bulgaria?' "What are the most popular sports?" I sparkled my eyes and asked the embassy to ask questions.
(Bulgaria by the way, popular dishes in Bulgaria are yogurt soups and beans, and popular sports are soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, etc.)
In school lunch, the ambassador seemed to be impressed by the Japanese-style cabbage soup with cabbage arranged in Japanese style, and was chatting with a dietitian who was in charge of the menu. For children, hamburgers with lutenica-style sauce seemed to be particularly popular.

After the exchange at elementary school, we had you drop in at the ward office and had a talk.
While introducing the International Horticultural Exposition to be held in Yokohama in 2027 and the history of exchanges between Bulgaria and Hodogaya Ward, we confirmed that we would further deepen exchanges toward the 100th anniversary of Hodogaya constituency system.
