Yokohama Water Supply Medium-Term Management Plan

In March 2016, Water Works Bureau formulated the "Yokohama Water Supply Long-Term Vision," which outlines the future vision that should be shared with citizens and businesses and the direction of initiatives aimed at realizing the sustainable management of water supply and industrial water supply businesses. The Yokohama Water Supply Medium-Term Management Plan is an implementation plan to realize the future image drawn in the long-term vision.

Last Updated October 18, 2024

Since its establishment in 1887, the water supply business has undergone an expansion period and maintenance period, and has entered an era in which the water supply system must be rebuilt in light of the declining water demand in the future.
Ahead of the major turning point of the era of restructuring, the first phase plan will promote “examination of business operations with a view to the future”. We have been working on "strengthening the foundation of the water supply business" such as strengthening the operating base and financial base.
In the third plan with a planning period from Reiwa 6 (2024) to Reiwa 9 (2027), we will continue to work on strengthening the foundation, optimize facilities by rebuilding the water supply system with a view to the future, We will promote our business toward "optimization of water supply business", such as the construction of an effective execution system and the optimization of the operation system by improving operational efficiency, and aim for sustainable business operation.
