Yokohama Water Supply Medium-Term Management Plan

In order to carry out sustainable management of water supply and industrial water supply business, Water Works Bureau formulated the Yokohama Water Supply Long-Term Vision in March 2016 (2016), which shows the future vision to be shared with citizens and businesses, and the direction of initiatives aimed at realizing it. The Yokohama Water Supply Medium-Term Management Plan is an implementation plan to realize the future image drawn in a long-term vision.

Last update date February 14, 2024

Since its establishment in 1887, the water supply business has entered an era in which it is necessary to rebuild the water supply system in light of the decreasing water demand in the future.
Ahead of a major turning point in the era of restructuring, the first phase of the plan will proceed with "examination of business management with a view to the future" and the second phase plan, it will become an organization that can steadily promote water supply system reconstruction. We have been working on "strengthening the base of the water supply business" such as strengthening our management base and financial base.
In the third plan, which covers the planning period from Reiwa 6 (2024) to Reiwa 9 (2027), we will continue to work on strengthening the foundation, optimize facilities by rebuilding the water supply system with a view to the future, We will promote our business toward "optimization of water supply business", such as the construction of an effective execution system and optimization of the operation system by improving operational efficiency, and aim for sustainable business operation.
