Purpose of the survey

 In Motoichi, in addition to the decrease in the working-age population and the population decline that peaked in 2019 (from the 2015 future population projection), the number of deaths has turned to a natural decrease that exceeds the number of births in 2016 .
Also, according to national estimates, it is expected that the elderly population will peak around 2040, when the baby boomers will be elderly. In addition to these changes in the demographic structure, the digital revolution, changes in the flow of people and goods, and climate change are expected to significantly change the environment surrounding local communities, and various issues are expected to emerge.

 Even under such circumstances, it is required to determine the direction to be tackled as a basic local government, and from around 2040, the current situation surrounding the city will be examined to examine the direction that the city should work on After grasping, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the city in anticipation of major changes that may occur in the future, and examined the fields that should be prioritized and examined for 2040, and examined each field.
