Purpose of the survey

 In Motoichi, in addition to decrease of working-age population and population decline peaking in 2019 (from 2015 population estimation), the number of deaths turned to natural decrease exceeding the number of births in 2016 is.
According to national estimates, the elderly population is expected to peak around 2040, when the baby boomer junior generation becomes elderly. In addition to these demographic changes, the environment surrounding local communities will undergo major changes due to the digital revolution, changes in the flow of people and goods, climate change, and other issues will become apparent.

 Even under such circumstances, it is necessary to determine the direction to be tackled as a basic local government, and the current situation surrounding the city is examined in order to examine the direction that the city should work on from around 2040. After understanding, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the city in anticipation of major changes that may occur in the future, and with a view to 2040, identified areas to be prioritized, and analyzed in each field.
