Initiatives related to “2017”

The year 2018 (2018) is 150 years from the first year of the Meiji era (1868).
The government has created the “2017” logo mark, and as a related measure in rural areas.
Initiatives were made nationwide, including local governments and private sectors.

Yokohama City also looks back on the Meiji period, which can be said to be the origin of Yokohama's development.
To this end, we implemented the following related measures.

●Related History Course at Kanazawa Bettei of the former Hirobumi Ito
 At the Kanazawa Bettei of the former Hirobumi Ito, the history lecture “Shintaro Ohashi and Kanazawa” was born in the former Hirobumi Ito Kanazawa Bettei.
"Historic historical site of a great business person" was held. (October 16, 2017)

●Kawasaki and Tsurumi Former Tokaido Walk
 On the day of the Kawasaki-Tsurumi Former Tokaido Walking Event, a panel display of raw wheat cases.
It was carried out. (November 11, 2017)

●Garden Necklace Yokohama 2018 (Development in coastal areas of the city center)
 Park green spaces in coastal areas such as Yokohama Park and Nihon Odori Avenue, which have a history dating back to the Meiji era
Ibe related to the creation of attractiveness through flowers and greenery, and the spread and promotion of flowers, greenery, and horticultural culture.

●Garden Necklace Yokohama 2018 (Spring))
 Opened large flower beds in Satoyama Garden, and events to get close to flowers and greenery in cooperation with each ward
I did it. (From March 24 to May 6, 2018)

●Installment of an explanatory board to the United States and Europe
 A mission headed by Tomomi Iwakura as a full ambassador left for Europe and the United States from the elephant's nose wharf in Yokohama.
We publicized the historical fact that it was well known and publicized Minato Yokohama. (April 19, 2018)

●Naka Ward Civilization Walk Rally
 At the Naka Ward Civilization Walk Rally held every year, participants participated in the Meiji era.
I walked looking for a checkpoint that included questions about it, and aimed for the goal.

●Related exhibitions at Yokohama Minato Museum
 The first phase of Yokohama Port, commenced in 1889 (Meiji 22), Japan's first modern port construction.
For the construction of ports in the Meiji period, which contributed to the modernization of Japan, including the construction of ports.
It was exhibited. (June 1 to December 28, 2018)

●Related History Course at Kanazawa Bettei of the former Hirobumi Ito
 At the former Hirobumi Ito Kanazawa Bettei, a history lecture "Old Nakasendo and Related People" was held.

●General exhibition "People with a connection to Kanazawa in the Meiji Period"
 Hirobumi Ito, Hideyo Noguchi, Shintaro Ohashi and Sanetomi Sanjo at Kanazawa Library in Yokohama City.
Collaboration with the Kanazawa Ward Office for materials related to Kanazawa in the Meiji period.
It was exhibited. (July 6 -31, 2018)

●Panel exhibition "Hamasta's Story with the History of the Port Area"
 In Yokohama Park, a temporary enclosure for renovation of Yokohama Stadium inYokohama Park.
The history of Yokohama Stadium was exhibited on 13 panels.

●Organized by Yokohama City History Museum and Yokohama Archives of History
 At the Yokohama Museum of History, "1868 of the Boshin no Yoko Hamana" was held.
Held as Meiji 150th anniversary cooperation exhibition "Yokohama of Boshin".

●Organized by Yokohama City History Museum and Yokohama Archives of History
 In Yokohama Archives of History, "1868 of the Port Opening City of Yokohama in Boshin."
Held as Meiji 150th anniversary cooperation exhibition "Yokohama of Boshin".

●Panel Exhibition "Meiji / Yokohama / Colored Photo Exhibition"
 Fuji Xerox's multifunction devices with the latest technologies at the Seya Library in Yokohama.
A photograph of the Meiji period Yokohama in the Meiji period, which was reproduced in theMunicipal Central Library.
A panel exhibition was held. (September 1 to 30, 2018)

●Exhibition "Kanazawa in the Meiji Period"
 In collaboration with the Kanazawa Library in the exhibition space on the first floor of the Kanazawa Ward Office, Kanazawa in the Meiji period.
Pictures and photographs of the area were exhibited. (From September 3 to 14, 2018)

●Garden Necklace Yokohama 2018 (Satoyama Garden open (Autumn)
 Large flower beds in Satoyama Garden, events and events to get acquainted with flowers and greenery in cooperation with each ward

●Exhibition related to 2017 in Municipal Central Library
 Utilizing materials related to the Meiji Period (Ukiyoe) in Municipal Central Library

●Panel Exhibition "2017 Anniversary" Yokohama and Isoko in the late Tokugawa period and Meiji"
 Municipal Central Library's collection was opened at the Isoko Library in Yokohama.
A copy of the precision image of maps and paintings were reproduced and displayed as panels.

●An exhibition introducing the history of Yokohama Channel, Japan's first modern water supply.
 About the history of Yokohama Channel, which was born in 1887 as Japan's first modern water supply.
An exhibition was held to introduce the results of making international contributions.
(Oct. 12-18, 2018)

●Special exhibition at the former Hirobumi Ito Kanazawa Bettei
 Hirobumi Ito's main achievements from his appointment as governor of Hyogo Prefecture to his death.
Introducing photos and commentary. There are 25 panels, Hirobumi Ito, located in Hagi City, etc.
Related materials were on display. (Oct. 27 to November 25, 2018)

●Panel Exhibit Panel Display: Valuable Materials Panel
 Municipal Central Library's collection was opened at the Hodogaya Library in Yokohama.
Precise images of maps and paintings were reproduced, and panels were displayed.

●Related exhibitions in Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum, Yokohama
 Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum opened in Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum, Yokohama.
2018 Theme Exhibition III “Jiro Osaragi“ Emperor's Century” 1555 Trips Tour

●Related History Course at Kanazawa Bettei of the former Hirobumi Ito
 Lecturer at Yokohama Kanazawa City Guide Association at the former Hirobumi Ito Kanazawa Bettei
Inviting the 2017 commemorative history lecture "Hirobumi Ito in the Meiji Period" was held.

●Midori Ward heritage tour, edited by Nagatsuta, "Yokohama Line Iwakawa Bridge Tour"
 A mini lecture and history by local historian Masao Aizawa at Yokohama Green Library
Take a walk (to the Iwakawa Bridge opened during the Meiji period and other Midori Ward heritage along the way)

●Yokohama City University Academic Information Center Citizen Lecture
 Introducing valuable materials held by Yokohama City University and presented research case studies before and after the opening of Japan.
I went using the materials related to it. In addition, as a lecturer for a special lecture, Ms. Kayama Miyakawa.
After a lecture, we invited the director of the museum and visited Shinkatsu ware at the museum.

●Panel Exhibition "Yokohama Railway Ukiyoe"
 Ukiyo-e related to railways in Yokohama at Naka Library and Hodogaya Library, Yokohama.
18 pieces were reproduced and panels were displayed.

●Tsurumi Ward Old Tokaido Walk
 We held a walking event on the old Tokaido, which runs through Tsurumi Ward.
Exhibit materials will be held. (as of March 23, 2019)

●Symposium "Boshin War and Regions Seen from Diary: 150 Years of the Meiji Restoration"
 At Tokai University (Shonan School Building), the historical incident of the Boshin War was captured from a regional perspective.
At the same time, we will hold a symposium on the public interest of local communities.
Co-organized with Yokohama Furusato History Foundation. (October 14, 2017)

●Yashima Gakuen University Open Lecture 2017 Commemorative The Mayor of Yokohama Masuda Tomomi Mibu Domain
 Tomo Masuda (the first The Mayor of Yokohama), a former scholar of foreign kings, met Shinsaku Takasugi.
We considered how he became mayor after kendo training.

●NPO Yokohama City Guide Association Spring Planning Walking with City Guide "2017 and Yokohama!"
 The theme is "2017 and Yokohama!" The central city area, Tozuka, Kanazawa, etc.

●Kanto Gakuin University Spring Semester Open Lecture "Yokohama Studies: History of Yokohama that cannot be spoken after the Port"

Through the development history of Yokohama Port, he drew a modern and modern image of the city of Yokohama.

●Kanto Gakuin University Autumn Semester Open Lecture “Yokohama Studies: Opening of Kanagawa sought by Harris: Why Kanagawa
It was: Japan's late Tokugawa period read through Kanagawa-juku, a key point of land and sea.
 Kanagawa is an important post town on the 53rd Tokaido, and its beach-ura is the Tokugawa Shogun's family.

After the conclusion of the "Japan-U.S. Osamu Good Trade Treaty" with Harris, Kanagawa became a diplomatic town for diplomats.

●Mitsubishi Minato Mirai Industrial Museum (The Yokohama Building of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) Exhibition of historical materials related to shipbuilding business in the Meiji era
 Focusing on photographs of Yokohama culvert (Yokohama Shipyard), in the Minatomirai district of the Meiji era.
An exhibition of materials related to the history of the shipbuilding industry.
