In Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama City, we are deepening cooperation with Okinawa through the promotion of the "Chimudon" Yokohama Tsurumi Project, which makes use of the morning drama stage. Taking advantage of this connection, we will carry out an event "Tsurumi / Churaumi Summer School 2024" with the theme of "maritime environmental protection" in cooperation with companies in Yokohama and Okinawa.
Last year, it was held only on one day, but this time it was expanded to two days, Saturday, August 31 and September 1 (Sun), further enriching hands-on content, and August 5 (Mon), a special lecture will be held at Yokohama Bay Bridge Skywalk as a related event.
Through this event, we aim to provide children with an opportunity to think about "how to protect the rich sea" and "what can be done to protect the sea."
