①The largest cause of fire was "cigarettes" in place of "arson (including suspicion)" which has been the number one consecutive year since 1985.
・The total number of fires was 638, the lowest in the past 10 years after 624 in 2020, while the number and ratio of electric fires in all fires and house fires was the highest ever.
・The total number of deaths from all fires was 11 (excluding arson and suicide), the lowest in the past 10 years, but all were elderly.

②The number of emergency participations exceeded 240,000, a record high along with transport personnel.
・The number of emergency participations was 244,086, an increase of 39,659 (19.4%) compared to the previous year, 31,691 more than the previous year in 2019, the highest ever.
・The number of transport personnel was 192,173, an increase of 21,152 (12.4%) compared to the previous year, 9,527 more than 2019, which was the highest ever. Looking at the ratio of transport personnel by age, 56.4% for elderly people and 51.7% for moderate or higher by degree of injury and illness.
