The "Nishi Ward Insect Listening to the Sounds of Insects" is a traditional festival in Nishi Ward where you can listen to the sounds of Suzumushi, enjoy outdoor tea ceremonies and performances of koto and shakuhachi. On the day, all lights and handmade snow cave are lit at Mt. Kamon Park.
This year, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Nishi Ward system, we will invite Hikone Gun Corps from Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, where we have been interacting for many years, to perform a powerful performance using matchlock guns.
